Registering and starting the Cyborg pendent software.
Registering the virtual pendent software
In order to be able to use the virtual pendent software, it has to be registered. In the top bar of the Cyborg virtual pendent right click on the “?”, and then on the “register” menu option.
| If a window such as the one here on the left appears then something is wrong with your ethernet connection, or with the ethernet cable, or the X-300 has not been switched on. |
 | When the ethernet connection between your pc and the Cyborg X-300 has been configured correctly and the Cyborg X-300 has been switched on, then the registration window will display
the machine’s mac address in the “customer number” field. This is a unique code which is linked to the X-300 cnc controller.
On the USB memory stick which was supplied with your machine you will find the release code which you have to type into the “Registration Code” field. Here on the left is an example of an application window with a correct registration code: If your registration code is correct, the virtual software will accept it and release the product. |
Starting the virtual pendent software
After having installed and registered the Cyborg pendent software, this new icon will appear on your desktop.
Double click on the icon and the virtual Cyborg keypad will be opened. Position it on the right hand side of your computer screen so that it fills the complete display height.
Over the virtual pendent you will see a little window in which the following message is displayed: “I have read and understood the Operator’s Manual”.
| You will have to click the OK button to be able to work with the virtual pendent.
This message is important!
By clicking OK you testify that you have actually read and that you have completely understood the contents of this manual.
Hence, if you have not read, or if you have not fully understood this entire manual, you should not click this OK button. If you have read and understood this manual, click the OK button.
After having done so, the window with the warning message disappears. |
 | Before you can actually use the machine to engrave you will have to home it.
In other words the machine has to find its limits and position itself over the top left corner of the engraving table. That is where the home position is.
The home position is indicated with the coordinates (0,0).
To home the machine press the (shift) and the (go home) keys one after another.
If the machine’s protective cover was not closed when you try to home, the following will appear on your computer screen (see image on the left):
Close the protective cover, the bitmap with the yellow arrow will disappear and you can restart the homing cycle by pushing and again.
If you click OK without having closed the protective cover, the window with the image to close the lid will also disappear,
but it will be displayed again when you re-try to home the machine.
Hence remember that you can only home the machine with the protective cover closed. |
