Note: the below screendumps were taken from a Windows 10 environment. Other Windows versions may have slightly different windows.
Your pc will need a free Ethernet connection, which will be dedicated to the Cyborg engraver. Add a 2nd network card if needed. Connect the X-300 using the supplied CAT 6A ethernet cable. Then setup the Ethernet adapter. Go to the windows network settings, the network adapter with “No network access” is the one for the X-300:
Click on the adapter with no network access, here: “LAN-verbinding 4” , the text in your PC may be different.
Click on the “Properties” button.
Mark the option TCP/IP V4 only and uncheck all the other options, then click on the “properties” button.
The PC ethernet adapter gets IP Address 172.22.2.101. The Cyborg X-300 is setup for 172.22.2.100.
Press OK, now you can test if the network is working, click the Windows Start button, select all programs ⇒ accessories⇒command prompt.
In the command prompt, enter “ping 172.22.2.100” and hit the Enter key. When the connection is OK, you should see:
If the connection would fail you will see the following:
If you see this problem, check your cable and your network settings again.
Also check that the yellow led on the X-300 ethernet port is flashing at approximately 1Hz.
The Cyborg pendent software needs real-time priority on Windows to control your machine correctly.
This is only allowed with Admin rights, so make sure the user has Admin Rights, these screens are from Windows 7, they are similar on Windows 8, 10 and 11:
Switch off “User Account Control” (=set to the lowest level)
The Cyborg pendent application must be started as Administrator and the user starting it must have admin rights.
Right click the mouse on the Cyborg pendent Icon and then select run as Administrator on Windows 7/8/10/11.
