The Template tab is only accessible through the Quick Start Wizard window, by clicking on the tab title. When first opened, the option My Templates will be active in the drop-down menu on the left and the right hand part of the window will be left blank.

When you click on the arrow on the side of My Templates, the drop-down menu is opened with the following options:

• My Templates
• Fixed Maps
• Fixed Plaques
• Fixed Ribbons
• Shields
• Standard Trophy Plates

By selecting any of the shown template names in the column on the left, the right hand side of the window will allow you to preview the template you selected.

• To open the selected template, click the OK button.
• To delete the selected template, click the Delete button under the preview.

Upon installing the Symmetry software, you will have a only a few templates at your disposal. Once you have started creating jobs that you are satisfied with, you can easily turn them into templates for future use.

To do so, you open an existing job (File menu - option Open Job, or Startup Screen and then Open Existing). Next, open the File menu once again and choose Save as Template.

Basically, all the above menu options do the same: they grant you access to a library of layouts with a very specific size, specified in the comments section underneath the preview. The idea is to allow you to create a job with text lines, images and icons on top of the bitmap and give you an exact idea about the position of the engraved texts on the bitmap.

The bitmap can represent a pendant, nametag or memorial plaque in any size or form. You can add these bitmaps yourself, based on the pendants, shields and objects you want to present to customers based on the product range of Your vendor.
