A power cable is supplied with the machine. If you want to use another power cable of a different length or you need to replace the original power cable, you need to have a cable with a IEC type connector.
The socket is part of a power module (see the image on the right). Inside this power module there is a double pole power switch, a voltage selector and an EMI filter. The power module adapts to 100-120 VAC and to 200-240 VAC input voltage by simply reversing the fuse cartridge. When the machine leaves the factory, the fuse cartridge is set for 200-240 VAC input voltage.
In case your mains power supply is 100-120 VAC you will need to change the position of the fuse cartridge. The images on the right show how you can determine which setting is active in your machine. To change the position of this cartridge, you can pull it out, reverse it and insert it again. The little triangle on the power module and one of the two little triangles on the fuse cartridge are mating. The triangle position on the fuse cartridge indicates which incoming voltage the machine is set for.
When looking at the rear of the machine, the power socket is on the back panel on the right hand side.

On the image you can see where the power socket is located. Put the power cord which is supplied with the machine in this power cord socket, and afterwards in a wall outlet.
The power cable plug has to be pushed into the socket, until it is properly seated.

The image on the left shows a typical Ethernet cable. A CAT6A Ethernet cable is provided with the machine. If you need a longer cable, always use a CAT6A or higher class cable.
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 socket which is positioned on the rear side of the machine. Gently push the plug into the socket till you hear the soft click of the locking lip.
Plug the other side of the Ethernet cable into the pc’s Ethernet socket and push until you hear a soft click.
To avoid any connection or configuration problem, the machine’s controller has a specific fixed IP-address which cannot be changed (172.22.2.100). Also, the computer which controls the machine has to be configured with a fixed IP-address in the same range. This has the following consequences:
If you want to make your engraver part of your company network, you have to plug an ethernet cable into the network hub or switch and the other end of the cable into one of the ethernet ports in the PC. This ethernet port can be configured freely. A second ethernet cable has to be connected between the ethernet port of the machine and the other ethernet port in the PC.
