Two-way engraving, useful for metals

The Cyborg X-300 has a special feature which no other engraving machine in the world has, and which was designed specifically for engraving single stroke fonts or single-line drawings in metals.

It is a well-known phenomenon that one side of an engraved groove in a metal plate is always clean, and the other side of the groove contains burrs. Using the bidirectional option in the virtual pendant, each shape is engraved in two directions with no upward spindle movement in between, leaving the cutter tip in the groove between the back and forth movements. The return move cleans up the burred side of the grooves and yields an overall clean cut.
The cutter runs through each vector and/or character in one direction, then moves to the following one.
The cutter runs through each vector or character. At the end point the same character is run through in the opposite direction, then only the spindle runs to the following character.

In order to automatically obtain a reverse cut at the end of every cut vector, all you have to do before running the engraving job is click the "Menu" icon on the virtual keypad, so that it becomes .

Note:

When engraving with the nosecone, the reverse option contains a potential danger. When the reverse moves happen, the nose cone might drop into an already engraved surface, causing a staircase effect. So be careful to use this two-way engarving technique only with single line or relatively small multiple line characters, or only without nosecone and a locked floating mechanism.
