====== Quick Start Wizard ======

{{ :en:symmetry:quick_start_wizard_1.png?870|}}The "Quick Start Wizard" window will open as a standard feature when Symmetry is started, or when you choose the "**[[option_new_job|New Job]]**" menu option. It allows you to set up the basics of your job, e.g. configure the plate dimensions and the default number of lines on the plate, or alternatively to go through the 'Template' tab to reveal various predefined templates to use.

The Quick Start window contains two tabs: **[[option_autoplate|Autoplate]]** **(1)** and **[[option_template|Template]]** **(2)** (see image below).

  * The **[[option_autoplate|Autoplate]]** tab will be the first one to appear.
  * The **[[option template|Template]]** tab is only accessible through the **Quick Start Wizard** window, by clicking on the tab title.

When over time, you feel confident enough to create new jobs and layouts without using any of these two features and you prefer to start new jobs from a blank sheet, you can turn the **Quick Start Wizard** off by unchecking the checkbox at the bottom of the **Quick Start Wizard** screen.
