====== The Zoom function ======

The **Zoom** function is only accessible through the three icons in the **[[icons|icon bar]]** at the top of your Symmetry screen, or through the corresponding **[[main_screen#left_partthe_shortcut_bar|shortcut]]** on the left of your main screen.

=== ▪ Previous Zoom State ===

{{:en:symmetry:icon_previous_zoom_state.png?25|}} After having zoomed in one or several times, you can return to the previous zoom state by clicking on the **Previous Zoom State** icon.

=== ▪ Zoom In ===

{{:en:symmetry:icon_zoom_in.png?25|}} When selecting the **Zoom In** icon, you can select a specific area in your job screen by clicking opposite corners of the area you want to view. Any combination of corners (top left and bottom right, top right and bottom left, etc.) will work.

=== ▪ Zoom Out === 

{{:en:symmetry:icon_zoom_out.png?25|}} Clicking on the **Zoom Out** icon will have you return to the full view of your current engraving job.

===== The Shortcuts =====

There is a single zoom shortcut {{:en:symmetry:icon_zoom_to_plate.png?45|}} available, which will work differently, depending whether you selected a single text line or not.

=== ▪ Line selected ===

With a text line selected, clicking the zoom shortcut will have Symmetry zoom in onto the text line in question.

=== ▪ No line selected ===

Clicking the zoom shortcut will have Symmetry zoom out to the entire job.
